New Poll Reveals NYers' Views On Banning Cell Phone Use In Schools
With the new school year comes renewed debate over the use of cell phones in the classroom. Among New York parents of school-age children, 77-percent support barring cell phone use in schools during the day, a Mount Sinai South Nassau “Truth in Medicine” poll found. A Long Island hospital has been forced to update its Emergency Room visitor policy due to the emergence of the Omicron COVID-19 variant and a recent rise of new infections across the region. 19: Here's How Many Long Island Hospital Workers Have Been Vaccinated, Refused Shot
More than 50 percent of the hospital workers on Long Island who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine have done so, though the region is lagging behind others across the state. New York Gov.
