Raging House Fire Causes Extensive Damage To Long Island Home A fully involved Long Island house fire took seven fire departments to extinguish. The blaze began around 6:45 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4 in Miller Place, on Henearly Drive. The first units arriving on the scene found the two-story residential building in blaze, said the Miller Fire Department. Man Charged With DWI After Car Crashes Into Senior Center In Mount Sinai An out-of-state man was arrested for DWI after he crashed his vehicle into a senior center in Mount Sinai, police said. The incident took place around 12:25 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, when Bruce Brant, 25, of Pennsylvania, driving a 2012 Mazda3 northbound on North Ocean Avenue failed to stop at the end of the roadway and crashed the vehicle into the Rose Caracappa Senior Center, located at 739 Route 25A, said the Suffolk County Police.
