Long Island Woman Struck, Killed By Jeep
A Long Island woman was killed after she was struck by a Jeep, police say. Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives say they responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash near 48 Montauk Highway in Amityville on Wednesday night, Sept. 25. Further investigation revealed that Maria Zatarga-Fagan, 37, of Copiague was attempting to cross the roadway from south to north when she was struck by an eastbound 2018 Jeep Wrangler at approximately 8:35 p.m., according to police.
