ID Released For Long Island Cemetery Worker Killed In Accident
Police detectives investigating the death of a cemetery employee who was killed while working in a grave have released the victim's identity. Rodwin Allicock, age 42, of Coram, was at the bottom of a grave, which was more than 7 feet deep when the incident happened at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai when the grave collapsed at approximately 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, said the Suffolk County Police. Raging House Fire Causes Extensive Damage To Long Island Home
A fully involved Long Island house fire took seven fire departments to extinguish. The blaze began around 6:45 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4 in Miller Place, on Henearly Drive. The first units arriving on the scene found the two-story residential building in blaze, said the Miller Fire Department. Under the joint direction of Ex-Chief Kyle Markott and Engine Company Captain Joe Italiano, members worked to bring the fire under control using handlines and the department's tower ladder. One Killed In Fiery Single-Vehicle Long Island Crash
A person was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash overnight on Long Island. It happened on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at approximately 11:45 p.m. in Middle Island. A 2007 Infiniti sedan was traveling southbound on Rocky Point Road, south of Whiskey Road, when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, caught fire and became fully engulfed, Suffolk County Police said. The Middle Island Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze. The driver, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, has not yet been identified by police and was pronounced dead at the scene.
