A 40-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a Toyota Scion while crossing a road in Freeport, police announced on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The crash happened near the intersection of Merrick Road and Guy Lombardo Boulevard on Monday, Dec. 9, at 7:09 p.m., according to detectives with the Nassau County Homicide Squad. A woman was killed after being struck by both a car and an SUV on a Long Island roadway. It happened just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in Freeport. The victim, a 77-year-old whose identity has not yet been released, was crossing Merrick Road near South Main Street when she was hit by a 2018 Honda Accord traveling eastbound, according to Nassau County Police. The robbery happened just before 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16 at the store at 2260 Jerusalem Ave. in Bellmore.
