26-Year-Old Airlifted After Fall From Conveyor Belt In Melville Police are investigating an industrial accident that seriously injured a Long Island man. Nassau County resident, Timothy Baumann, age 26, of Merrick, injured his arm after falling off a conveyor belt at Rason Asphalt, located at 136 Spagnoli Road, in Melville, at 8 a.m., Friday, March 11. Baumann was airlifted by helicopter to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment of serious injuries, said the Suffolk County Police.
