Duo On Loose After Attempting To Steal ATM From Massapequa Bank, Police Say Police are searching for two men who allegedly tried to steal an ATM from a Long Island bank overnight. The two, while in a 2001 white Ford F250, drove up to the Chase Bank in Massapequa, located at 6 Carmans Road, Nassau County Police said.  They then tied the ATM to the back of the pickup truck and successfully displaced it from its original location, severely damaging it, according to police.  They were unable to remove any money from the ATM before fleeing the scene, police said.  Officers located the empty pickup truck near the intersection of Sunrise Mall and Sunrise…

Man Accused Of Robbing Massapequa Carvel At Knifepoint A 32-year-old man is accused of robbing a Long Island ice cream shop at knifepoint. The robbery happened at the Carvel, located at 5596 Merrick Road in Massapequa, at about 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Police said Nicholas Roca, of Massapequa, approached a 20-year-old employee of the store while displaying a knife and removed cash from the store register before fleeing the scene. Thomas Adamo had last been seen leaving his home on Elm Street in Massapequa at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
