Strong bipartisan majorities support safeguarding access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) and enhancing protections for the LGBTQ community, a Siena College poll released Monday, April 22, showed. Hate Crime: 14-Year-Old Charged After Threatening LGBTQ Students In Holtsville, Police Say A 14-year-old girl is facing a hate crime charge after investigators reported that she threatened to kill or injure students in the LGBTQ community at her Long Island high school. The teenager, who is a student at Eastern Suffolk BOCES - Sequoya High School in Holtsville, was arrested at about 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
