Hudson Valley 20-Year-Old Fatally Shot After Facebook Marketplace Sale, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was shot dead in broad daylight while attempting to purchase a motorcycle off of Facebook Marketplace.
The incident took place in the Bronx around 3:40 p.m., Wednesday, May 18 at East 144th and Exterior streets in Mott Haven, said the NYPD.
The victim, Rockland County resident Jefferson Jimenez Hernandez, age 20, of Spring Valley, was found unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to the head, NYPD said.
EMS responded and transported Hernandez to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced dead, they added.

Two people were killed in an overnight crash on a busy Long Island roadway.
It happened around 9 p.m. Friday, May 21 in Bohemia.
Kazimierz Wiszowaty, age 61, of Holtsville, left his disabled 2005 Toyota sedan on the right shoulder of eastbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27), Suffolk County Police said.
When he was walking back to his disabled vehicle under the Smithtown Boulevard overpass, he was struck by a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle being operated by Robert Pappas, age 23, of Patchogue, in the right lane, according to police.

Long Island Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash
A motorcyclist on Long Island was seriously injured during a two-vehicle crash.
The crash took place around 4:22 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, while heading southbound on Peninsula Boulevard, a 34-year-old man driving a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle, collided with a 2006 Kia Minivan traveling northbound before making a left turn onto Lynbrook Avenue.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was ejected, suffered multiple trauma injuries, and was transported to an area hospital.
