HP Hood LLC is recalling 96-ounce containers of Lactaid Milk because the product may contain trace amounts of almond, which is not listed on the label.

A package with a suspicious white substance was intercepted at a United States Post Office in Connecticut earlier this week and could be part of a much larger scheme to disrupt or scare election workers ahead of election day, authorities said.

A jury has convicted a Long Island man accused of viciously stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death at a local racetrack.
Jose Franco-Martinez, age 58, of Elmont, was found guilty of second-degree murder nearly five years after stabbing Maria Larin, the Nassau County DA announced Wednesday, April 5.
Larin worked as a hot walker at the Belmont Park racetrack in Elmont, where she would walk horses after their races to help them cool down.
She was working when, on June 17, 2018, Franco-Martinez showed up and attacked her, stabbing and cutting her 23 times with a kitchen knife.

Covid-19: Six States Removed From NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List, Puerto Rico Added
Travelers from six states have been removed from the COVID-19 joint quarantine list of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
California, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, and Ohio were removed from the Travel Advisory List on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Puerto Rico was added to the list.
The quarantine applies to any person arriving from a state with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a seven-day rolling average or a state with a 10 percent or higher positivity rate over a seven-day rolling average.

Covid-19: Five States Removed From NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List, One Territory Added
Travelers from five states have been removed from the COVID-19 joint quarantine list of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
This marks the first week since the list was started on Thursday, June 25, when eight states were initially named, that no new states with high COVID positivity testing rates have been added. However, one new territory has been added: Guam.
The five states removed on Tuesday, Aug. 25 are Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Maryland and Montana.
