Jose Rodriguez, 43, was arrested on robbery and related charges following an alleged theft at the Lawrence Target on Rockaway Turnpike on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Rodriguez entered the store at around 5:40 p.m. and proceeded to stuff stolen merchandise under his shirt and in his pants before exiting the business, Nassau County Police said. Long Island Man Accused Of Pointing Shotgun At Officers A 73-year-old man is facing charges after police said he pointed a shotgun at officers on Long Island.  Jose Rodriguez, of Elmont, was arrested in the incident that happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, according to the Nassau County Police Department. NCPD said officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont and located Rodriguez involved in a disturbance in a second-floor apartment.  Rodriguez pointed a shotgun at the officers from an open window, and the officers were able to convince him to come outside unarmed, police said. …

It happened Friday, Dec. 4 at about 6:30 p.m. in Bay Shore. Jose Rodriguez, 28, of Brentwood, was driving a 2019 Kia Sportage SUV southbound on Fifth Avenue at Reil Place, when the vehicle was side-swiped by a southbound 2020 Mercedes-Benz sedan driven by Mayda Villatoro, 20, of Brentwood, Suffolk County Police said.
