Police are asking for the community’s assistance in locating a teen girl who went missing after last being seen on Long Island. Karina Flores, age 15, was last seen in Hempstead on Saturday, Jan. 6, according to Nassau County Police. Flores had been on Jackson Street at around 6:30 p.m. that day, police said. She is 5-foot-8 and weighs approximately 150 pounds with red hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, Flores was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and sandals. Two men were arrested and accused of attacking a man on Long Island and causing severe injuries during a robbery. The incident happened on Fulton Avenue in Hempstead at 1:15 a.m. on Friday, April 22, according to the Nassau County Police Department. The male victim died around 10 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8 in Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police.
