Three people suffered injuries after an SUV crashed into a house on Long Island overnight. The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28, in West Babylon. According to Suffolk County Police, a 27-year-old man from West Babylon was driving a 2023 Dodge SUV southbound on Great East Neck Road, south of Crocus Court. A Long Island man is accused of injuring several police officers during an arrest. The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in West Hempstead. Nassau County Police said officers were called to a restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike for a disturbance involving a man and woman. A witness told police that 27-year-old Luis Taborda Corrales, got into an argument with a 26-year-old woman that escalated before he fled on a bicycle. 9-Year-Old Suffers Injuries After Fall At Pool In North Woodmere
A girl suffered several injuries after falling from a pool diving board at a Long Island home. The incident happened around 5:10 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in North Woodmere. The 9-year-old suffered contusions to her head, neck pain, and a possible fractured left arm, Nassau County Police said. Huntington Station Man Killed In Head-On Aquebogue Crash
One person was killed in a head-on crash on Long Island. It happened around 11:45 a.m. Friday, July 19, in Suffolk County on Main Road, east of Union Avenue in Aquebogue. A 2018 BMW, operated by New York City resident Anthony Croce, age 65, of Brooklyn, collided head-on with a 2002 Nissan, operated by Matthew Schramm, age 67, of Huntington Station, Riverhead Police said. A dog was shot and killed after it attacked its owner on Long Island. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, in North Hills. A 43-year-old man was at Christopher Morley Park, located at 500 Searingtown Road, with his Belgian Dutch Shepherd when it turned on his owner and began to viciously attack him. Man Dives Off Boat, Injures Neck In Wantagh: Police
A man was airlifted to a nearby hospital with injuries after he dove off the front of his boat in a Long Island bay. It happened in Wantagh on Sunday, July 7, Nassau County Police said. That day, a 47-year-old man was on his boat in Zach’s Bay. At about 4:20 p.m., he dove off the front of the boat into the shallow water and hit his head, injuring his neck. He was found by the Nassau County Marine Bureau and transported to the Jones Beach Theater, where he was then airlifted to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. A man lost a finger in a Fourth of July fireworks mishap at a Long Island home that also injured three others, including a child. The incident happened at a Port Jefferson Station home on Foxrun Court at around 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4. Concrete Wall Collapses, Kills 1 On Long Island, Police Say
One man was killed and another was injured after a concrete wall collapsed during a home demolition. It happened in Manorhaven on Monday, July 1, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 11:45 a.m., two men were working on demolition for a Kirkwood Road home when a concrete wall collapsed on them. One of the men, age 56, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The second man, age 20, went into cardiac arrest while en route to the hospital. He was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
