2 State Troopers Hospitalized After Crash In Upstate NY
Two New York State Police troopers were seriously injured after a weekend crash. It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday, March 23, in Rensselaer County on I-90 in the town of East Greenbush. An investigation determined a tractor-trailer struck the vehicle that the two troopers were in from behind. The troopers were at the scene after responding to an earlier crash. Both troopers were taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries, were treated, and have since been released. Two Remain Critically Injured After Crash Involving Tour Bus From Hudson Valley
Two people remain in critical condition three days after a tour bus from the Hudson Valley headed for a trip to Niagara Falls crashed upstate. The crash took place Saturday afternoon, Aug. 14 on westbound I-90 near Exit 40 (Weedsport) in Cayuga County when it exited the roadway for an unknown reason and rolled over onto the grassy shoulder, according to New York State Police. A former New York State Thruway employee from the Hudson Valley allegedly attempted to light a Thruway vehicle on fire after losing his job, police said. New York State Police troopers responded to a call of reported arson at the Canaan Toll Plaza on I-90 in Columbia County at approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22.
