There were 2,002 new cases in Suffolk County and another 1,742 in Nassau for a total of 3,744.

Long Island saw a total of 2,350 new COVID-19 infections, according to information released by state health officials on Thursday, Dec. 24.
There were 1,330 new COVID-19 cases in Suffolk and 1,020 in Nassau.
There are currently 1,150 patients hospitalized with COVID on Long Island, with 24 percent of hospital beds available in Nassau and Suffolk.
