Man Hospitalized After Suffering Medical Event At Nassau County Restaurant A 61-year-old man was hospitalized after suffering a medical event at a Long Island restaurant. The man suffered the medical episode in Levittown at about 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, according to the Nassau County Police Department. When officers arrived, a nurse was giving the man CPR, NCPD said. Officers continued giving CPR, and the man regained and lost a pulse multiple times, police said.  Wantagh-Levittown Ambulance Corp. also responded and began giving medical aid, NCPD said.  The man was taken to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition, police said.

Police said that at approximately 10:10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, a man was shot outside a Lexington Avenue home in Central Islip following an altercation with a second party. Following the shooting, the man was transported to an area hospital in a private vehicle for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to detectives. Man Struck By Lirr Train A man was seriously injured after being hit by a train on Long Island. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m., Monday, June 7, when the man was struck by a train at the Amityville station, said MTA officials. The man was removed to the hospital alive with leg injuries after being struck. Some 115 commuters on the train, the 9:12 p.m. out of Babylon to Penn Station, were safely moved to another train, while the track was de-energized to remove the injured man. The MTA Police are investigating the incident but said that no criminality was involved during the incident.
