Honda Recalling 750K+ Vehicles Nationwide Due To Faulty Air Bag Concerns
More than three-quarters of a million Honda and Acura vehicles are being recalled due to potentially faulty air bags that could cause them to deploy unexpectedly.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that the motor vehicle giant is recalling upwards of 750,000 cars, SUVs, minivans, and pick-up trucks due to the malfunctioning air bags, which could pose a safety hazard, the agency says.

Off-Duty Nypd Officer Shot After Arranging To Pick Up Car Through Facebook
Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on an off-duty NYPD officer, critically wounding him, as he attempted to purchase a vehicle.
The officer, who has not been named, went to purchase the vehicle that was posted in a Facebook Marketplace ad around 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4 in the area of 472 Ruby St., said New York City Police.
When the officer and his brother-in-law arrived, a man almost immediately pulled out a gun and demanded the money, said the NYPD.
The officer had reportedly brought $24,000 to the meet to purchase a Honda Pilot.

A Virginia man is facing DWI and weapons charges following a traffic stop on the Southern State Parkway.
Siwatu Emanuel, age 39, of Richmond, Virginia, was stopped by State Police at around 5:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, as he drove eastbound near the Wantagh State Parkway in Hempstead.
After receiving a report of a Honda Pilot driving erratically in the area, troopers spotted Emanuel’s vehicle near Exit 27N and noticed that his front driver’s side tire was blown out, police said.

Three people were injured, including a 9-year-old child, during a two-vehicle crash on Long Island.
The head-on crash in Westhampton occurred around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 on County Road 31 by Gabreski Airport.
According to Lt. Susan Ralph, of the Southampton Police, an investigation revealed that a 2020 Chevy Traverse with four occupants, including a 2-week-old child, was traveling southbound on Country Road 31 when it collided with a 2006 Honda Pilot with one occupant.

Man, 66, Struck, Killed By SUV In Massapequa
A 66-year-old man was killed when he was struck and killed by an SUV on Long Island.
The crash happened on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 4:40 p.m. in Massapequa, Nassau County Police said.
According to detectives, while on his bicycle traveling northbound on Oakdale Avenue at the intersection of Linden Street, the victim was involved in a collision with a 2011 Honda Pilot, police said.
The Honda was heading westbound on Linden Street and was being operated by a 69-year-old male, according to police.
