Bellport Man Arrested 46 Times, Nabbed For 10 Larcenies
A Long Island man who police say has been arrested 46 times has been charged with 10 new larcenies across the region.
Emmitt Smith, age 43, of Bellport, was charged on Wednesday, April 24, with the larcenies that occurred across Nassau County, according to Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, an investigation was conducted that led to the arrest of Smith for the following larcenies:

Together, two Long Island residents allegedly defrauded the Social Security Administration out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in benefits by not disclosing income or the death of a relative, authorities said.
On Monday, Oct. 2, Uniondale resident Markus Effinger and Valley Stream resident Gloria Sevilla were arraigned in two separate cases regarding alleged Social Security fraud, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.

A Long Island man who allegedly robbed a deli and burglarized two other businesses was caught by police following an investigation.
The incidents took place in Shirley and Mastic Beach on three separate dates in April, Suffolk County Police said.

Man Wanted For Stealing Power Washer, Cultivator, 2 Lawn Mowers, From Selden Home Depot
Authorities are searching for a man who is wanted for stealing a power washer, a cultivator, and two lawn mowers from a Long Island store.
A man stole the products, valued at about $1,500, from Home Depot in Selden at about 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers reported on Thursday, Dec. 1.
The store is located at 401 Independence Plaza, authorities said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.

4 Nabbed In Million-Dollar Suffolk County Retail Theft Ring, DA Says
Four people have been nabbed in a major million-dollar retail theft ring on Long Island.
Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced on Tuesday, Aug. 9, that the suspects would steal items from big box stores and then use Ulloa’s Brentwood pawn shop as a front.
The suspects would allegedly store the products at a warehouse before selling them online, the DA's Office said.
The suspects, Carlos Ulloa, Henry Delgado, Sandra Cruz, and Sandra Palomino generated over $1 million a year in profit, authorities say.
