After Hitting 3 Pedestrians On Long Island, Driver Flees Scene, Police Say
A 32-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly striking three pedestrians with his car and then fleeing the scene.
The crash happened at around 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, in Patchogue, near East Main Street and Phyllis Drive.
According to Suffolk County Police, two people were standing near a Honda after being involved in a crash when a third person, not involved in the wreck, approached the scene to check on them.

Steven Syrop, age 52, of Holtsville, surrendered to Suffolk County Police on Thursday, July 27, in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed Jennifer Bianco.
The 42-year-old, of Bay Shore, was found dead in a grassy area of Holtsville, along North Ocean Avenue near Fish Road, on Sunday morning, May 21.
