Longtime Popular Long Island Diner Destroyed By Fire

A popular Long Island diner was destroyed during a three-alarm fire that took more than 100 firefighters to battle.
The fire began around 4:51 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Harvest Diner at 841 Old County Road in Westbury, said Nassau County Police.
The diner, which has been serving locals for some 40 years, was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, police said.
