Fatal Overnight House Fire: Long Island Man ID'd As Victim A Long Island man has died from injuries suffered in a house fire. The blaze broke out around 9:55 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10 in Hampton Bays. When police officers and firefighters arrived a woman who was able to escape the home, told officers that a man was still inside the Rolling Hill Road residence as heavy smoke and fire poured from the residence,  said Sgt. Gina Laferrera, of the Southampton Police. Suspect At Large After Punching, Stealing Cash From Victim In Hampton Bays A suspect is at large after allegedly punching and then stealing cash from a victim on Long Island overnight. The incident happened around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 in Hampton Bays. That's when a man was walking on Springville Road when the suspect punched the victim several times, according to the Southampton Town Police Department. The incident took place in Hampton Bays around 5:55 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13. Police received a 911 call reporting the event and officers responded to the home along with Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance, according to Lt. Susan Ralph of the Southampton Police. The incident took place around 5 p.m., Thursday, April 15, when Southampton Police received a call regarding an unconscious man at a residence on Bay Avenue North, in Hampton Bays, said Southampton Police Lt.
