Man Who Dressed As Woman Nabbed After Robbing NY Bank, Police Say A man who authorities in New York say robbed a bank while dressed as a woman has been apprehended. The incident happened on Long Island around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 in Commack. The man entered Teachers Federal Credit Union, located at 10 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, and handed a teller a note demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said. Suspect Nabbed After Long Island Bank Robbery A suspect has been charged after a Long Island bank robbery earlier in the day. The robbery took place around 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb 27, in West Babylon, said the Suffolk County Police. According to detectives, the suspect, now identified as George Swanton, 60, of West Babylon, entered the People’s United Bank, at 955 Little East Neck Road, and handed a teller a note demanding cash.  The teller complied with the demand and gave the man cash from the drawer.
