Dealer's Fentanyl Killed 17-Year-Old Garden City Girl, DA Says An admitted drug dealer was formally charged in connection with the overdose death of a 17-year-old Long Island girl. Daquan Booker, age 34, of Smithtown, was arraigned on multiple drug charges in Nassau County Court on Tuesday, Oct. 15, following the death of Garden City High School senior Grace Wrightington. Prosecutors said Booker met with the teen on at least two occasions in July 2023 and sold her purported oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl. These Long Island Schools Honored For Excellent Scholars, Athletes Just 35 high schools across Long Island were given a special designation for their stellar athletes who double as stellar academics. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association, or NYSPHSAA, announced its 2022-2023 “School of Distinction” list on Thursday, July 27. Out of all 84 schools given the award, 35 were from Long Island. Former Garden City HS Lacrosse Player, 21, Killed In Car Crash A former Garden City High School lacrosse player has been killed in a car crash just north of Boston. Sabrina Milone, 21, of Garden City, was killed around 9 p.m., Saturday, June 8, in a single-vehicle crash on Route 495 in Amesbury, Massachusets, said the Massachusetts State Police. A preliminary investigation by Trooper Michael Crowley indicates that Milone was traveling on Route 495 northbound in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler when, for reasons still under investigation, she traveled off the right side of the roadway and crashed.  Milone was transported to Anna Jaques Hospital where she died…
