The discovery was made in Brentwood, near the interaction of Fifth Avenue and Bancroft Road, shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Suffolk County Police said someone called 911 about remains found in a sump. It was determined the remains were those of a human. Man Seriously Injured After Being Struck By SUV At Busy Long Island Intersection A man was seriously injured after being struck by an SUV at a busy Long Island intersection. The incident happened around 9 p.m. Thursday, July 23 in Brentwood. Dinorah Pantaleon, 38, was driving a 2011 Honda Pilot southbound on Fifth Avenue, near the intersection of Third Avenue, when her vehicle struck the man walking eastbound on Fifth Avenue, Suffolk County Police said.
