Long Island Pawn Shop Owner Gets Prison For Running $2M Retail Theft Ring The owner of a Long Island pawn shop will spend years in prison and lose his business license after leading a multimillion-dollar retail theft ring. Carlos Ulloa, age 51, of Patchogue, was sentenced to three to nine years behind bars in Suffolk County Court on Friday, Feb. 2, after pleading guilty to corruption and related charges. According to prosecutors, between May 2020 and August 2022 Ulloa regularly received stolen goods from Suffolk County retailers at his business, EZ Cash Pawn & Jewelry in Brentwood. Police Search For Long Island Pawn Shop Burglars Who Stole $100K In Jewelry Police are asking the public for help identifying two men who burglarized a Brentwood pawn shop in June, and they are offering a reward. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad said the men broke a lock and entered EZ Cash Pawn & Jewelry, located at 1913 Brentwood Road, on June 11 at approximately 12:45 a.m.  They stole more than $100,000 worth of jewelry from a safe and fled in a waiting vehicle, police said. Following an investigation, Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Crime Section officers arrested the trio in Brentwood on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7:45 p.m. Terron O’Connor, Christine Tacktill and Steven Jameau at were apprehended at EZ Pawn on Brentwood Road.
