Southern State Double Fatal: 21-Year-Old Driver, Passenger Killed In Massapequa Two people were killed in a fiery, single-vehicle crash on the Southern State Parkway. The wreck happened in North Massapequa, in the eastbound lanes near exit 29, at around 8:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14. New York State Police said a Nissan 350z left the roadway and crashed into the tree line. Troopers arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames with the male driver lying outside of the car dead. Three Killed In Connecticut Crash  Three people were killed in a morning crash in Connecticut. It happened around 6:30 a.m. in New Haven County in Branford on Thursday, April 28 on Hosley Avenue. Preliminary findings of the investigation indicate that the operator failed to negotiate a curve in the road while traveling at an excessive speed, Branford Police said.
