Parents Charged After Leaving Toddler Unattended In Car At Suffolk Target, Police Say
The parents of a 13-month-old child have been charged after police say they left the toddler alone in a car in the parking lot of a Long Island Target store.
Suffolk County Police received a 911 at call stating a baby was left unattended in a parked vehicle that was turned off in the parking lot the Target in Bay Shore, located at 838 Sunrise Highway, at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5.
Third Precinct officers arrived and saw the baby did not appear to be in distress, according to police.

Long Island Teen Charged After Crash Kills Woman, Seriously Injures Daughter
A Long Island teenager is facing multiple charges after a crash that killed a woman and seriously injured her 11-year-old daughter.
It happened just after 3:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 in Wyandanch.
Jennifer Figueroa, age 30, of Wyandanch, was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, turning left onto Lincoln Avenue from Little East Neck Road, when the vehicle was struck by a northbound 2018 BMW, being driven by Franklyn Charles, age 18, of West Babylon, Suffolk County Police said.

Drunk Driver Involved In Long Island Crash Had 2-Year-Old In BMW, Police Say
A driver involved in a two-vehicle Long Island crash was driving drunk with a 2-year-old in the car, police said.
Nassau County Police say that on Friday, Oct. 8 at 5:25 p.m., a Fourth Precinct Police Officer on patrol in Inwood observed a crash eastbound at the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and Bayswater boulevard.
The crash involved a blue 2006 BMW four-door sedan, which struck a 2003 Chevrolet SUV from behind, according to police.
After interviewing the driver of the BMW, Andrew A. Thomas, age 30, of Jamaica, Queens, the officers smelled alcohol, according to police.

Police arrested a couple for allegedly leaving their baby in a hot vehicle while they went shopping at a Long Island mall.
The man and woman were charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child around 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Americana Manhasset Mall, police said.
