A Long Island man was arrested after he allegedly caused a scene at a restaurant by breaking a martini glass, slapping an employee, and attacking officers, attempting to grab one's gun.
The incident took place in Nassau County around 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 16 in Carle Place at the Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse.
According to Nassau County Police detectives, when officers responded to the restaurant they found David A. Meikle, 30, of Uniondale attempting to escape by running on the Meadowbrook State Parkway.

A Long Island man has been charged with public lewdness after he was caught on video surveillance at a Walmart exposing his genitals to a woman and child.
The incident took place in Nassau County on Thursday, April 13, at the Walmart in East Meadow.
According to detectives, while reviewing surveillance video during an unrelated larceny investigation at Walmart, located at 2465 Hempstead Turnpike, officers spotted a man follow and approach a 10-year-old victim and her mother.

A registered nurse has been arrested, as well as her employment terminated after she allegedly lifted and slammed down a two-day-old infant in his bassinet, authorities said.
Amanda Burke, 29, of Holbrook, was working at the NICU Unit at the Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip at the time of the incident, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney reported.
She was assigned to care for a 2-day-old infant.

A man was arrested following a road rage incident on the Long Island Expressway involving another driver and the driver’s 12-year-old son, authorities said.
