Long Island Man ID'd As Victim In Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road.  Hicks said LaFave struck a 2017 Lincoln Navigator head-on in the left southbound lane. It happened just after 3 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in Central Nyack, outside CY's Restaurant and Lounge, located at 37 Route 59. Arrival officers discovered a woman with gunshot wounds to her leg and abdomen, lying on the ground in front of the establishment, Clarkstown Police said. The officers, along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS), provided immediate medical aid before transporting her to Montefiore Nyack Hospital. It happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Glen Cove. According to Nassau County Police, the victim, a man riding a bicycle, was traveling eastbound, approaching Glen Cove Avenue from a walkway behind a residential building. Police said the bicyclist then entered traffic and struck a 2004 Honda Accord being driven by a 31-year-old man.
