Long Island Man Sexually Abuses Child For Years, Police Say A 38-year-old Long Island man was arrested after an investigation found that he subjected a child to years of sexual abuse. Edwin Camey, of the hamlet of Calverton, was taken into custody Thursday, Oct. 19, according to Southampton Town Police. Investigators determined that Camey began sexually abusing the victim in October 2014, when the child was under the age of 11. The alleged abuse continued for more than four years at homes in both Calverton and Flanders before finally ending in April 2019.
