Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery Of Taxi Driver In Riverhead Police are asking for help in locating a suspect who is charged with robbing a taxi cab driver on Long Island.  On Thursday, Nov. 3 at around 9 p.m., police in Suffolk County received a report of a robbery in Riverhead at the River Pointe Apartments at 821 East Main St., according to Riverhead Police.  Police said a male suspect approached the victim, a taxi cab driver, put a gun to his neck, and stole money from him before leaving the scene on foot, police said.  No injuries were reported from the robbery, according to police.  The suspect is described as a Black man …

Compliance Check Conducted At 19 Long Island Establishments Nineteen stores on Long Island passed muster when it came to selling alcohol to minors during a string operation. The stores, all in Suffolk County, were part of an inspection effort by the Riverhead Police Department in cooperation with the town's Community Awareness Program on Wednesday, June 29. Suffolk County Police reported the incident took place around 11:50 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, at the home located in Riverhead.
