LI Man Nabbed For Multiple Crimes, Including Robbery, Grand Larceny, Police Say
A Long Island man has been arrested for multiple crimes including armed robbery and grand larceny.
Joseph Mancuso, age 48, of Central Islip, was arrested around 5:15 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25, when Suffolk County Police responded to The Home Depot, located at 1101 Sunrise Highway, in Copiague, following a 911 call reporting a man carrying a handgun in the parking lot.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located Mancuso and placed him under arrest. Mancuso was in possession of an imitation pistol, a stolen credit card, and a stolen 2001 Toyota Camry, Suffolk County Police said.

Man Arrested For Burglarizing LI Smoke Shop, Police Say
Police arrested a Long Island man for a burglary that occurred in February 2020.
Matthew Vicchiarelli, age 40, of Deer Park, was involved in a motor vehicle crash in North Babylon, Tuesday, Jan. 26, at around 10:10 p.m.
While a police officer on the scene was investigating the crash, it was discovered Vicchiarelli had four active warrants, and he arrested, said the Suffolk County Police.

Man Steals Bobcat Loader, Crashes Through Long Island Target, Burglarizing Business, Police Say
A man was apprehended after he stole a Bobcat skid steer loader, and crashed the vehicle through the front doors of a Long Island Target, before burglarizing the store, according to police.
The incident happened around 1:50 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25 in Bay Shore.
Justin Shuffle, 33, of Deer Park, stole a 2010 Bobcat from a shopping center located at 838 Sunrise Highway and crashed through the front doors of Target, Suffolk County Police said.
Once inside, Shuffle stole a coat and Target gift cards, police said.

Man Found Dead Behind Long Island Restaurant
Police are investigating the death of a man found behind a Long Island restaurant.
The man was found dead around 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, after police responded to the rear lot of Ruby Tuesday, located at 403 Commack Road, in Deer Park, after a report of an injured person, Suffolk County Police said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an adult man lying dead on the ground. The man appeared to have sustained a head injury, police said.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, police said.

Amazon Driver Busted For Stealing From Long Island Warehouse, Police Say
A Long Island Amazon driver was arrested for grand larceny after he allegedly stole more than $5,000 worth of merchandise from an Amazon warehouse.
Suffolk County resident Edward Seyfert, 48, of Deer Park, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 13, for the theft which took place on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the warehouse in Bethpage, Nassau County Police said.
According to detectives, officers began an investigation at the Amazon warehouse located at 80 Grumman Road W., Bethpage for the larceny of approximately $5600.00 worth of merchandise.

Police are investigating the shooting death of a woman and attempted suicide of a man that occurred overnight on Long Island.
Suffolk County Police First Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man and woman with gunshot wounds inside a Deer Park residence on Eastwood Avenue at approximately 8:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9.

Man Wanted For Stealing $1,240 In Items From Long Island Store, Police Say
Police are searching for a man who stole sunglasses and a shirt, worth $1,240, from a Sax Off 5th location.
According to police, the unidentified man stole merchandise from the Deer Park store in the Tanger Outlets at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, Suffolk County Police said.
