19: Stop & Shop Now Offering Same-Day Vaccinations
Stop & Shop has become the latest to begin offering walk-in, same-day COVID-19 vaccines. In an effort to expand vaccination efforts, the grocery giant announced that it has the supply to begin offering either the two-dose Moderna or one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine at its more than 250 pharmacies to all eligible customers. Customers can still schedule an appointment online, but they are no longer required to receive an immunization. Two of New York’s largest pharmacy chains will begin offering COVID-19 vaccines. Officials said that beginning this week, both CVS and Walgreens locations in New York have been allocated a limited amount of COVID-19 vaccines to be administered to those eligible. Police were called to a Connecticut CVS location this week when a group of seniors from New York came seeking the COVID-19 vaccine and were turned away. Man, Woman Wanted For Stealing From Long Island CVS, Police Say
Police are looking for a man and woman who allegedly stole multiple wireless speakers from a Long Island store. The pair, Suffolk County Police said, reportedly robbed a CVS at 4331 Nesconset Highway in Terryville at approximately 10 p.m. on April 5. Two men are wanted after allegedly going on a shopping spree using stolen credit cards at multiple Long Island retailers. An alert was issued by Suffolk County Crime Stoppers as they attempt to identify and locate a pair of suspects who used stolen credit cards in Huntington Station in July. Know him? Police investigators are attempting to track down a man who used a credit card that was reported stolen out fo a vehicle parked at a Long Island assisted living facility. A credit card was reported stolen out of a 2016 Toyota RAV4 that was parked at Bristol Assisted Living on Larkfield Road in East Northport at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday, July 17. Photos have been released of two men who are on the loose after an early morning armed robbery at a Long Island pharmacy, police said. Detectives from the Suffolk County Major Case Unit are currently investigating an alleged armed robbery at 4:10 a.m. at CVS on Montauk Highway in West Islip on Thursday, June 18.
