Long Island Man Nabbed During Fatal Overdose Investigation, Police Say
Police on Long Island have arrested a man in connection with a fatal overdose.
Holtsville resident Nicholas Mayfield, age 40, was nabbed in Uniondale at about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, Nassau County Police said.
According to police, Mayfield was taken into custody after authorities began investigating the fatal overdose death of a Nassau County resident.
Further details, including the victim’s name, were not released.

On Friday, Oct. 6, Nassau County Police arrested the following people, all Island Park residents:
Robert Stockdale, age 38;
Christine Lyons, age 40;
Joseph Zimatore, age 58.
The three were nabbed in a 6 a.m. raid, where officers found cocaine, crack, fentanyl, meth, heroin, packing materials, and cash in the house the three shared.

Long Island Man Sold Fentanyl-Laced Pills To Undercover Cop, Jury Finds
A Long Island man was convicted by a jury of his peers for selling pills laced with fentanyl at an LIRR train station.
Anthony Alexander, age 57, of Deer Park, was found guilty Thursday, March 30, of selling the opioid-laced pills under the guise that they were oxycodone, the Suffolk County DA said.
Alexander sold what he said were oxycodone pills to an undercover investigator two times in January 2022. Subsequent testing of the pills sold to the investigator revealed that they were fentanyl, not oxycodone.

Three men face numerous charges after allegedly trafficking ghost guns, assault weapons, and large quantities of cocaine from Massachusetts to New York, officials said.

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly dealing fentanyl throughout the area.
Following a four-month-long investigation, detectives from Suffolk County arrested Leury Rodriguez, aka "Primo," age 27, of Brentwood, after he conducted a drug deal in Islandia on Monday, Feb. 7, and was found in possession of more than a quarter kilo of fentanyl, said the Suffolk County Police.

Two Suffolk County men, Justin Ivanditto, age 30, Bay Shore, and Kendel Burnette, age 29, of Amityville, were arrested in connection with the Sunday, Dec. 5 death of a person in North Massapequa in Nassau County.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of the two men.

A Long Island has been arrested for the alleged criminal sale of a controlled substance.
David Robinson, age 62, of Huntington Station, was arrested around 7:16 a.m., Wednesday, March 17, by the Nassau County Police's Major Case Bureau in East Meadow.
According to detectives, an investigation was conducted into the sale of narcotics near the Methadone Clinic, located in the vicinity of the Nassau University Medical Center at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike. The investigation led to the arrest of Robinson, police said.
