Long Island Man Nabbed For Supermarket Burglary, Police Say
A Long Island man has been arrested for an alleged burglary of a supermarket.
Christopher Stringer, age 20, of Point Lookout, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 28, shortly after the burglary, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, an officer while on patrol heard a ringing alarm. The officer located the alarm at 12 Lido Blvd. at the Point Supermarket and spotted a man standing in front of a smashed window.
After a thorough investigation, Stringer was placed under arrest without incident, police said.

Trooper Injured, Four State Police Vehicles Damaged During Arrest Of Wrong-Way LI Driver
One trooper was injured and several state police cruisers sustained damage as an allegedly impaired wrong-way driver was apprehended on Long Island.
At approximately 6:05 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, the wrong-way driver was reported on the Ocean State Parkway eastbound in the westbound lanes in the town of Babylon.
Troopers located the vehicle, and a pursuit was initiated.
The driver, Jose Cortez-Peraza, age 21, of Akron, Ohio, was taken into custody after being blocked on the eastbound shoulder of the Ocean State Parkway, west of Robert Moses Causeway.

DNA Match Leads To Arrest In Long Island Restaurant Burglary
A DNA match has led to the arrest of a man for allegedly entering a Long Island restaurant and stealing hundreds of dollars from the register.
Riqui Rodriguez, aka, Riqui Nunez, age 37, of Brooklyn, who is also suspected of other burglaries, was arraigned on Thursday, Aug. 5, for charges of burglary and criminal mischief, said Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce Smith.
