Police said three men were arrested for illegal gun possession after they fled the scene during a traffic stop on Long Island. Officers initiated a traffic stop after seeing a BMW speeding in North Amityville at about 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. SCPD said the BMW had been traveling west on Sunrise Highway near 41st Street. Authorities have issued an alert for a man convicted of charges on Long Island who is among the state's most wanted fugitives. Kaeshon Darby, age 24, was convicted in Suffolk County of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Long Island Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Overdose
A Long Island man has been charged in connection to a fatal overdose. According to Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, an investigation into the fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of Marc Gumpert, age 51, of Long Beach. Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives placed the defendant under arrest without incident.
