Thief Walks Off With $20K Watch From Long Island Jewelry Store
Police are asking for help in identifying a thief who walked out of a Long Island jewelry store with a watch worth thousands of dollars. The incident happened in Huntington Station, at the Tourneau store located at Walt Whitman Shops, at around 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 12. Suffolk County Police said a man stole a Cartier watch valued at approximately $20,000. Anyone with information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward from Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted on the organization’s website or by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.

Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly broke into a home and stole an expensive ring, computers, and other items. The incident took place in Greenlawn in December. Suffolk County Police said a man broke into a home on Lawrence Street and stole a gold Cartier ring, a Dell Latitude 7490 Intel Core laptop, a Google Pixelbook, and a 13-inch 2012 Apple Macbook Pro. A New York doctor will spend time behind bars after being sentenced for spending millions of dollars obtained through fraudulently obtained small business loans during the pandemic in an effort to live a luxury lifestyle. Long Island resident Konstantinos Zarkadas, who had a Nassau County practice in Glen Cove, was sentenced in federal court to 51 months in prison for fraudulently obtaining millions of dollars in COVID-19 emergency relief funds.
