Long Island Teen Caught With Cocaine After Speeding Stop, Sheriff Says A Long Island teenager was busted for cocaine and drug possession during a speeding stop on Sunrise Highway, the Suffolk County Sheriff announced. A Sheriff’s deputy stopped Medford resident Paul Cardenas, 19, shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the Sheriff said, when he was caught driving in an “excessive speed,” in a posted 55 mph zone on the highway in Southampton. During the stop, it is alleged that Cardenas was in possession of multiple cartridges of concentrated cannabis in his truck.
