Traffic Advisory Issued For Funeral Of Shoreham Wading River HS Athlete Killed In Crash The Suffolk County Police Department is expecting a huge turnout for the wake and funeral of Shoreham-Wading River High School senior student-athlete, prompting it to issue a traffic alert. Melissa Marchese, 18, of Shoreham, was a passenger involved in a two-car crash on Route 25A on Thursday, June 20. Marchese was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital, where she died from her injuries. The wake for Marchese will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at the Branch Funeral Home on Route 25A in Miller Place.
