Early-Morning Armed Robber Hits Long Island Convenience Store
Police are investigating an early-morning armed robbery at a Long Island gas station. The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in Syosset at the BP station on South Oyster Bay Road, according to Nassau County Police. Detectives said a man walked into the store with his hand inside his pocket and threatened that he had a gun. He then demanded cash from the 23-year-old employee, police said. The third-prize winning Power Play ticket for the Wednesday, Feb. 1, drawing was purchased in Valley Stream, at the BP station on Rockaway Avenue. It has four matching numbers plus the Powerball. The winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing are: 31-43-58-59-66 and the Powerball is 9. The Power Play multiplier is 2, meaning the third-place prize was doubled. Search For Suspect Continues After Armed Robber Hits Long Island Gas Station
Police continue to search for a suspect after an armed robbery at a Long Island gas station. The robbery happened late Wednesday, April 27 in North Merrick, at the BP station on Merrick Avenue, Nassau County Police said. After entering the store at around 10:30 p.m., the suspect pointed a handgun at a 22-year-old employee and demanded that he open the register, police said.
