Jack Koch, aged 19, of Locust Valley, first went missing on the night of Monday, May 15 when he went boating with an 18-year-old friend, according to the Nassau County Police.

A 2021 high school graduate from Fairfield County is being remembered by friends and family after he was killed when two jet skis collided in the Long Island Sound.
Matthew (Matt) Horvath, age 18, of Shelton, died on Tuesday, July 27, in Milford, said Will Healy, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Healy said Horvath was killed in a boating accident in which jet skis collided in the Sound.
He was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Healy said.

Two men were rescued from a sinking 25-foot sailboat overnight on Long Island.
Suffolk County police officers William Houst, John Mullins, Michael Klarmann, and Steven Squires, onboard Marine X-Ray, responded to a 911 call of a boat sinking in Fire Island Pines Harbor at approximately 1 a.m. Saturday, May 29.
The lines on the sailboat broke and were being smashed against the dock and other boats. Chris Sinforter, age 32, of Brooklyn, and Christian Teneyck, age 37, of Jersey City, were onboard the sinking sailboat and unable to get off safely due to high seas, according to police.

It happened Sunday, June 28 at approximately 2:40 p.m. in a channel in the Great South Bay, south of Babylon.

A woman was killed and three others seriously injured when a boat crashed on Long Island.
It happened Sunday night, Nov. 10 just after 9 p.m. in Mattituck in the waters of Great Peconic Bay off Old Salt Road.
The 39-foot Cobalt was leaving the bay and entering a creek when it hit a barrier, resulting in the death of Kelley Blanchard, 27, of Riverhead, police said.
The boat's operator, Frank DiStefano, 48, of East Northport, Megan Blanchard, 29, of New Suffolk, and Nick Soulas, 41, of Jamesport, were all seriously injured.
Woman Dies, 13-Year-Old Girl Rescued In Southampton Boating Accident
A 65-year-old woman died after she and a 13-year-old girl fell off a tube being pulled by a boat in Southampton, police said.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Red Cedar Point near Hubbard County Park, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
The young girl was pulled back onto the boat, but the older woman was unable to get back into the boat, possibly may have suffered a medical condition and became unconscious, police said.
