Police Asking Public For Help Locating Alleged Dognapper On Long Island Police on Long Island are asking the public for help locating a man who allegedly stole a dog that was tied to a post while his owner was inside a business. The incident took place around 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 24, in Lakeview, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, an unknown man driving a black BMW SUV parked his vehicle in front of 691 Woodfield Road and approached a Pomeranian mix dog on a leash, secured to the outside of this location.   The man removed the dog and placed it in the passenger rear side of his vehicle. Out-Of-Control BMW SUV Slams Into Long Island Shop An out-of-control BMW SUV slammed into the front of a popular tattoo shop on Long Island. The incident took place around 10:26 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Body Designs shop at 1739 Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park, said the Suffolk County Police. The shop owner said on Facebook the entire front of the shop is lost, except anything on the wall on the side of the door.  "Even the very front room has been pushed and needs to be rebuilt," they said.
