Suspect At Large After Long Island Gas Station Attendant Robbed At Gunpoint A suspect is on the loose after a gas station attendant was robbed at gunpoint on Long Island. It happened at around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 in Sound Beach, Suffolk County Police said. A man approached the attendant at CND Automotive at 260 Echo Ave., displayed a silver handgun, and demanded money, according to police. The attendant, a 50-year-old man, complied and gave his own wallet and cash from the register to the suspect, who then fled the scene on foot southbound on Blue Point Road.
