Drunk Driver Flees Scene Of Crash Injuring Officer In Oyster Bay, Police Say A 55-year-old man who was allegedly drunk was charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash in Oyster Bay Cove that left a Nassau County Police officer with numerous injuries. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m., Monday, July 15, when the officer was driving northbound on Berry Hill Road in a marked vehicle when he was hit by a black Chevrolet Suburban traveling southbound, said the Nassau County Police.
