Police are searching for two armed men who allegedly entered a Long Island home and attacked one of the residents before fleeing.
The incident took place around 4:40 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7 in Merrick on Beach Drive, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, two men, one armed with a handgun, entered a second-floor entrance to the Beach Drive home.
After confronting one of the residents, the men stated, “Give us your stuff.”
The victim grabbed the intruder's arm in an attempt to push away the gun and was punched in the face, police said.

A Long Island man is in custody after a spree of armed robberies, including allegedly threatening an employee with a gun at a CVS location before stealing controlled substances, police said.
Massapequa resident Paul Defilippis, 32, walked into CVS on Magnolia Drive in North Massapequa at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, police said. He proceeded to shop for two hours before attempting to rob the store while there was nearly two dozen people inside the store.

Robbers Hold Two Long Island Employees On Floor At Gunpoint, Police Say
Police are searching for three suspects in connection with an armed robbery in which the victims were held at gunpoint while lying on the floor, police said.
The robbery took place around 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, at Universal Envios Corp located on Nassau Road in Roosevelt, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, the three men, wearing hoods that covered their heads and most of their faces, entered the business with one of the men brandishing a handgun.
