Dog Shot, Killed After Attacking 43-Year-Old In North Hills A dog was shot and killed after it attacked its owner on Long Island. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, in North Hills. A 43-year-old man was at Christopher Morley Park, located at 500 Searingtown Road, with his Belgian Dutch Shepherd when it turned on his owner and began to viciously attack him.  Fearing for his life, the man fired one round at the dog. 225-Pound Black Bear That Attacked Connecticut Boy Had 'Rare Pieces Of Macaroni' In Stomach A 225-pound black bear that attacked a 10-year-old boy had rare pieces of macaroni in his stomach, according to a necropsy. The male bear attacked the boy in Litchfield County on Sunday, Oct. 16, as he played in his grandparent's yard in the town of Morris. Following the attack, which left the boy with non-life-threatening injuries including claw marks on his back and injuries to his leg, the bear was euthanized. NY Woman Killed By Her Own Dog In Backyard Attack A 70-year-old New York woman was killed by the family's 100-pound pit bull that was later killed by police. The Long Island incident took place in the hamlet of Albertson in North Hempstead on Wednesday, July 27 around 1:20 p.m. in the backyard of a home on Terrace Court. Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said during a news conference the woman's husband came home and found the dog attacking his wife in the backyard.
