Fatal Crash: 31-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On East Patchogue Roadway
A 31-year-old was killed in a crash on Long Island. The incident happened in East Patchogue, on Americus Avenue south of Brookhaven Avenue, at around 8 p.m. Thursday, July 18. Suffolk County Police said the man, Noe Moran Contreras, of East Patchogue, was operating a dirt bike when he lost control and struck a pole. He was taken by ambulance to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. Investigators impounded the bike for a safety check. Long Island Man Accused Of Leaving Scene Of Crash That Injured 6
A Long Island man was charged with leaving the scene of a crash that injured six people, one seriously. The crash took place in East Patchogue around 7 p.m. on Monday, July 10, at the intersection of Americus Avenue and Brookhaven Avenue. According to Suffolk County Police, Felix Cortes was driving a 1998 GMC box truck eastbound on Brookhaven Avenue when the vehicle was struck by a 2022 Dodge Charger that was traveling southbound. The impact of the crash caused the GMC to overturn, ejecting Cortes and two passengers, Travis Soto Rudgers and Janisse Cortes, from the vehicle.&…

Bicyclist Killed In Hit-Run Crash With Dark-Colored SUV On Residential Long Island Street
An investigation is underway after a bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on a residential Long Island street. It happened on Friday, Oct. 16 at about 7:25 p.m. in East Patchogue. Officers responded to Americus Avenue just south of Atlantic Avenue after a 911 caller reported a body in the roadway, Suffolk County Police said. Upon arrival, it was determined that the man was struck by a vehicle.
