Amazon Opens New Delivery Station On Long Island Amazon is strengthening its foothold in New York with a new delivery station that recently opened on Long Island. The retail delivery giant announced that its 103,000-square-foot delivery station on Precision Drive in Shirley has opened up this week by Amazon Logistics. According to Amazon, delivery stations mark the last mile of the company’s order fulfillment process. Amazon To Open Two Long Island Delivery Stations Online retail giant Amazon bought two Long Island properties, one in Shirley and another in Carle Place, to be used as delivery stations before the year's end.
