Woman Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Vehicle In West Hempstead A Long Island woman who was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle has died. The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 in West Hempstead. The 83-year-old was walking eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike crossing Nassau Boulevard when she was struck by a 2016 Dodge Ram being operated by a 36-year-old man making a left-hand turn onto Nassau Boulevard, Nassau County Police said. Mastic Woman Seriously Injured After Blown Tire Leads To Crash On Sunrise Highway A 37-year-old Long Island woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunrise Highway. The crash happened on the westbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27) near Hospital Road in East Patchogue at about 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
