If you recognize these burglars, police want to hear from you. Nassau County Police are investigating after two men in Oceanside broke into the Star Bazzar Vape and Cigar, located on Long Beach Road, shortly after midnight Friday, Aug. 16. After smashing their way through the front glass door, the masked duo helped themselves to several vape products before taking off on foot. They were last seen heading eastbound on Atlantic Avenue. Shot Fired: Shoplifter Flees Long Island Mall After Altercation
Police are searching for a man who fired a shot in a Long Island mall after he was allegedly caught shoplifting. It happened on Monday, Oct. 23 in Valley Stream, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 11:15 a.m. at the Green Acres Mall, located at 1015 Green Acres Mall, Sunrise Highway, the suspect attempted to shoplift clothes from Clique, a store on the mall’s second floor. ID Released For Northwell Health Employee Fatally Shot In Parking Garage
Police have identified a Northwell Health employee who was fatally shot in a parking garage on Long Island. Amelia Laguerre, age 33, of St. Albans, Queens, was found shot in North New Hyde Park around 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 31. Arriving officers found Laguerre with multiple gunshot wounds being attended to by local medical staff from the facility, said the Nassau County Police. Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Of 37-Year-Old On Long Island
Police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man who was shot multiple times on Long Island. The Nassau County Police Department reported that the incident happened at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10 on 43 California Avenue in Hempstead. When officers arrived, they found the man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released. Long Island Woman Loses $35,000 In Internet Scam, Police Say
Police are cautioning the public to be on high alert after a Long Island resident was bilked out of more than $35,000 as part of an Internet scam. A 69-year-old woman in Baldwin corresponded with an unknown person, believed to be a man, online through multiple emails and phone calls for several months. According to police, the man called and emailed the victim over the past six months, and the woman sent more than $35,000 to the suspect through nine separate transactions that were completed.
